Today I’m going to talk about a news that I read in a newspaper online, The guardian.  The news is entitled “Barbie can be a computer engineer ... but only with help of a man” and this news is about a criticism to the Barbie’s book, “Barbie: I can be a Computer Engineer children’s book”, which relate the story of Barbie who want to be computer’s engineer. The critique to the book is about the view of the woman that is illustrated in the toy.

The news critique to the book because replica the sexist stereotype where the woman is incompetent and dependent of the men; it is representing in the book when Barbie talk with Skipper about her job, and say that she is only creating the idea of the computer’s game, but she will need Steven and Brian’s help to turn this into a real game.

I considerer this news relevant and associated with my career because I consider that the sexism in this society is a big problem because incite to the stultification of the woman like a valid person inside the same society.  I consider that is very problematic that the toy Barbie incarnates all the prejudice, stereotype and ancient view about the women, because is a toy that the majority of the girls have it, and this permit that the girls reply the same conduct. Events like this cause that the sexism carry on the society.

The book of life an amazing movie!

I would talk about a movie that I enjoy very much. Exist a lot of movies that i enjoy in my life, but I watched a movie yesterday and I really enjoyed its. Yesterday I went to the cinema with my friends Javiera and Katherine and we watched “The book of life”, although this movie is a movie to kids, but we like Mexican story and I really really love the Mexican skull, this skull   s are decorated with flowers, colours and drawing so beautiful. I am thinking in a tatoo of the Mexican skull, I want tattooed my back with a Mexican skull and two cats.It´s for this reason that Javiera say me that we were to watch the movie.

The book of life is an American and Mexican movie and this is classified as a romantic comedy adventure. This movie was direct by Jorge R. Gutiérrez and produced by a lot of people but the most important for me is Guillermo del Toro; finally this movie was distributed by 20th Century Fox. This movie was performe for the first time in october 2 in this year.

The story line tell us about the celebration of death day in Mexico, when all people go to the cementery for remember to death family. I Mexico the death day is amazing because is a celebration, party. The Mexican remember your deadth family without pain or suffering, they remember their deads so happy. I Mexico remember the dead people with a party.

I totally recommend this movie, The book of life, to all people.

I love cook!

Today I will talk about anything that I like me, and I like me cook so much. When I learnt to cook I am so happy because this is an activity that I enjoy a lot. My grandmother María was the person who taught me to cook, with my grandma I taught to cook spaghetti and rice.

The kitchen for me is a place for relax me, when I am very stressed for anything, but above anything when I stressed for the University. In this moment I cook foods that I never had cooked; in one time I cooked a soup make of pumpkin, carrot and orange, my family were very impress for my soup and I didn’t know if they want tasted the soup or they see oneself forced to taste the soup because I cooked for them. My family is very traditional for the cook food.

The last thing that I learnt to cook was the cakes with fondant, this is a cake conceals with fondant, it’s a blend of marshmallow with sugar, its modeling and with this food preparation you can to make any form. When you work with fondant is very difficult because it’s very sticky, but it’s very fanny.

My first cake and the one cake that I made with fondant was the cake for the Martin’s birthday; the form for this cake was about Mickey mouse’s house, because Martín is a baby. The next cake that I want cook is for the birthday of my cousin Alvaro and I would make about LOL, a computer’s play.

The book "Las barras bravas"

I will talk about the book that I am reading in this moment, the name of the book is “Las Barras Bravas”, and the writer of the book is Andrés Recasens who is a very famous anthropologist that wrote about soccer and hooligans (Barras Bravas). The book that I am reading is an academics book for me, maybe some people read this book as entertainment, but I am reading because I am making a research for the investigation’s course; it is about hooligans and political reivindications. The reason of that the book “The Barras Bravas” is very important in my research is because its results were based on ethnographic work in the stadiums and about a lot of interviews done to people who are soccer fans.

The book offers me information about a lot themes associated with the hooligans as the motivations that have the persons for take part in this groups and your organization; other important theme that the book offer me is about the violence that characterize this group, the book explain the reasons of the violence of this group with others groups, and example of this phenomenon is the eternal rivalry between the groups of Colo-Colo and the University of Chile.

I believe that this book is the most important in this moment, but when I will write my thesis also I will use this book, because I would like to do my thesis about the same theme.

Valdivia's week

Hi miss and guys!!!

Today I’m going to talk about a memorable celebration and when I think in this I only can think in the Valdivia’s week. I went to Valdivia with my parents and my friend Felippa four years ago. We went to Valdivia in the summer’s vacation and everything was very beautiful and amazing. This celebration is in the February month and all Valdivia is a constant party.

Felippa, my parents and I are walking in the street when we arrived to the square and had a lot of people in this place; they were walking and were throw confetti to another people. In this moment I was not very happy because I hate the confetti, I believe that is a great hatred. In Valdivia has a lot of days of celebration, but the best day is the day with the finish this week, when all the Valdivia’s people and the tourist go to the river side to see the allegorical boat with a lot of lights and music, It is great!

This show is very important in Valdivia for all the community, for this reason the people arrive vey early for find the best place and they can to see this performance; It is the most amazing thing that I have seeing in my life. Boats with lights, music and persons dancing on the boats; and isn’t a one boat are a lot, with difference feel and from every place you can see pyrotechnic games.

My family and I are in love of Valdivia because never have seeing places, landscape and celebrations more fabulous.

Estefanía my best friend

Good afternoon classmates,

Today talk about a friend, but I talk about my best friend, your name is Estefanía and is a 21 years old as me. We met in a school when we are staying in a sixth years of primary in the ABET school. I am coming in this year at the school and I don´t meet anybody, but Estefanía was my friend this year and for all time until now.

She change at another school two years later, but ours friendship continued and we continued visiting us. I am always going to a house because she can´t leave of her house for her sister and brother that she care them.

Estefanía and I were very happy when are sleeping or watching tv or cooking or anything together. When she is working I went to visit her us went to have lunch in a center of city or eat an ice cream.  What I and Estefanía enjoyed the most  was when we went to parties together, because we are very crazy together and we love to dance in all place when drink tequila, our favorite drink.

When Estefanía becoming pregnant I wasn't happy because she is very young, but when Martín born I was very happy, I love to Martín he is a pretty boy. I like very much when go to anyplace with Estefanía, Felipe (Estefanía´s boyfriend) and Martín.

I miss a lot when we went to the parties, for this reason when our go a some place the night’s Saturday I enjoy it.

Clotario a great person

Clotario was a labor unionist very famous. Your complete name is Clotario Leopoldo Blest Riffo. He was born in seventeen of November of 1899. He was son of a single mother together with your sister and brother, so we can say that Clotario’s family had a precarious economic condition, for this reason Clotario thanks for a scholarship can study in a seminary where gain the catholic consciousness. Then he was a high school; but the bad economic condition he must to work for the house, mother and brothers.

Is in the work where knew to Luis Emilio Recabarren, who show him the way to politic, from this moment Clotario beginning to participate in a lot of organizations, where he contributed with the classist view, but together with the Catholicism too. Clotario thanks for your jobs about support and motivate to the working class, he become to be the most famous labor unionist in Chile.

Thanks to Clotario is that in Chile exist the ANEF, fiscal workers association, he was president of a fiscal workers association for fifteen years. In parallel he worked for the worker’s joining with the other persons, they manage to create the CUT, Unique Workers Central. But he don`t only done this task, also compete for a fair church together for the poor people. Also Clotario fight against the dictatorship in Chile, but he done through of the pacifism.
